Kelly got into the best shape of her life when the combination of pregnancy weight gain and the stress of a new baby motivated her to start jogging. Seven years later Kelly cannot imagine a life without exercise; she is now an ACE certified personal trainer with an extensive background in functional weight training, sport-specific conditioning, and complex plyometrics. Kelly worked as a personal trainer and taught group classes at the Ice Chamber in Albany, CA, before co-founding Phoenix Gym. Her own workouts often include running, strength training, and kickboxing. She also writes about fitness and parenting for a number of publications, including the San Francisco Chronicle and Babble.com, and she has a well-known exercise blog. She believes cupcakes should be their own food group, but they would make all other food groups pale in comparison. |
